The hips are one of the most used and troubling joints in the body, bringing tightness and stiffness with age. It doesn't have to be that way- integrating the routines taught in this workshop into your life will help to prevent the breakdown of the hip joint and keep your hips & spine healthy for years to come.

We will begin by releasing the hips and pelvis, then release the spine from base of the pelvis to the neck. We will work the paraspinal muscles, which connect to the vertebrae and direct the motion of individual bones, and also help with larger motions of the core. Working together with other muscles, they assist the spine with support and prevent it from being misaligned. We will explore the use of the breath in deepening the release into the ball. You will leave with an understanding of how to work into your back from the base of your spine to your occiput, and why working into the pelvis can be crucial for releasing the spine.
